About the shot
“If we capsize in the waves, the camera is lost, but if I succeed, I have good opportunities for good pictures. I attach my tripod to the front of the kayak, mount the full-frame DSLR camera, set the focus, connect a timer (interval 3 sec). Wrap everything in plastic and off we go. I get several good pictures of us, but I like this one best,” Njøten shared about the creation of the photo. The photo features Njøten and his son out paddling together in character building paddling conditions— windy, cloudy and alluring waves according to Njøten.
