We are seeking one incredible shot to promote the 20th Anniversary World Tour. We will select one winning photo to be used as the poster image for the 20th Annual Paddling Film Festival. The winner will receive a prize of $500 CAD.

The winning image will be featured in all print and digital media promoting the 20th Annual Paddling Film Festival, including a double-page spread in Paddling Magazine’s 2025 issues. The photographer will grant the Paddling Film Festival unlimited rights to use the selected photo across our website, social media, and other marketing and promotional materials.

The photographer will gain excellent exposure on a global scale, with the winner announced on Paddling Film Festival and Paddling Magazine digital channels.

All submitted photos must:

• Feature a paddling activity—kayaking, canoeing, stand-up paddleboarding, rafting, or kayak fishing.
• Be artistic, dynamic, and unique.
• Ensure paddlers on water are wearing a PFD.
• Convey a positive feeling of excitement and adventure, preferably featuring people out on the water.
• Have enough space to allow text and logos to be layered over the photo.

Technical specs:

• Images must be in landscape orientation.
• Images must be submitted in JPG or PNG format ONLY, with a maximum file size of 10MB and a minimum size of 1080 pixels (72 ppi) on the shortest dimension.
• All shortlisted photographers will be contacted and asked to provide a high-resolution image (3300 pixels/300 ppi on the shortest side).

Notification of the winner: The winning photo will be announced via the Paddling Film Festival social media channels, including Facebook and Instagram, in late November 2024. The individual will be contacted via an @rapidmedia.com email address before the final selection is announced publicly.
