South Silver The First Descent
It was late in the 1990s. Whitewater kayaking was on the rise, and most California rivers and creeks had already been paddled by whitewater pioneers. A local group of kayakers from the American River grab the first descent of a true diamond in the rough: the South Fork Silver Creek.

Lean Against the Wind
Conquering the Mount Everest of canoe racing—a 45-mile stretch of stacked waves, crashing currents and blistering winds off the coast of Hawaii—is just one way 12-time Molokai OC-1 World Champion and outrigger canoeist Lauren Spalding has distinguished herself. Add Olympian and working parent to the list, and it’s safe to say she’s fully inherited her father’s legendary, push-the-limits fervor.

Nomads of the Sea
In 2020 and 2021, filmmaker Tom Vetterl had big plans. Perhaps you did, too. Many projects and expeditions were canceled or put on hold during the coronavirus pandemic. Fortunately, sea kayakers are resilient. Nomads Of The Sea encourages viewers to stay optimistic. It’s a rallying cry for the better days ahead and a reminder we grow with every challenge we face.

The Patagonia Triple Crown
A group of world-class whitewater kayakers finds themselves in one of the most challenging missions of their lives while running three of the least explored and most dangerous rivers of the southern hemisphere. While paddling the Pascua, Bravo and Baker rivers, the team will overcome the difficult tests Patagonia throws at them. They’ll also learn about the complicated environmental situation Chile is suffering in its fight for fresh water.

All Bodies
Ash Manning, 28, is a whitewater rafting guide from Cleveland, Georgia. She has spent the last 10+ years on rivers in the southeast region of the U.S., and, in 2018, she hiked 900 miles of the Appalachian Trail. Ash speaks on body positivity and inclusivity and how the outdoor industry still lacks accessibility to appropriately sized gear for plus-size adventurers.
Director: Tommy Corey
My Dear Fear
Whether sea kayaking in the surf, climbing a giant rock wall or hiking alone in the woods, most outdoor enthusiasts have had a run-in with fear. Sometimes fear offers a rush of adrenaline that pushes us towards our limits and beyond. Sometimes it takes control and we’re left paralyzed. When is fear valuable? What amount is too much? And how can paddlers distinguish the thin line between the two? My Dear Fear is the filmmaker’s creative approach to engage with these questions.

A Quality of Imagination
In a culture seemingly full of adrenaline junkies and going bigger, Benny Marr contemplates the ultimate form of self-expression, and the subtle moments defining one’s style.
Director: Caleb RobertsÂ
Jötunn
Iceland is the land of fire and ice, and also one of the places with the highest concentration of waterfalls. This makes it one of the most popular places for extreme kayaking. Even so, given the inaccessibility of its rivers and the harsh climate, there is still a lot of territory left to explore. Three friends enter new valleys to explore rivers and waterfalls never descended before.
Director: Mikel Sarasola
