Loon

In his later years, Freed returned to his home in northern Minnesota, where he has cared for more than 2,000 acres of land in the state's wilderness lake country. A revelation on the Appalachian Trail gave him clarity on what he should do with his land and set in motion the steps needed to preserve his wilderness properties and his legacy.
